POLICIES: ROOM RATES Room rates vary seasonally; we encouage our guests to call to check the rate for any specified stay. Rates are valid for single or double occupancy. Terrain is primarily designed as an adult retreat, however we are happy to accommodate parents on "babymoons" & or with babies 1yr and younger in both the east/WEST Gate House and the Shoji Suite. We do request advance notice if your child will be accompanying you. DEPOSITS All reservations must be secured with a credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover). However charges will only be billed to the credit card account provided in the event of a cancellation or no show. Payment for the entire stay is made at check-out. PAYMENT METHODS Cash, personal checks or traveler's checks are the preferred form of payment. We will, of course also gladly charge your account at check-out to any of the credit cards listed above. CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION We understand that plans change. If you are reserving one of our suites and cancel 14 days in advance, there is no charge associated with your cancellation. If you are reserving more than one suite, we require a 21-day notification. A 21-day cancellation is also mandatory for ALL reservations for EASTER, JULY 4TH WEEKEND, ART SANTA FE, INDIAN MARKET, THANKSGIVING WEEKEND, AND THE CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS HOLIDAY PERIOD. CAUSE OF CANCELLATION Please note that our cancellation policy is NOT dependent on the cause of the cancellation. We are unable to be responsible for elements such as bad weather, flight alterations, illness, family, pet or work emergencies. CANCELLATION OBLIGATIONS If you need to cancel or decide to shorten your stay less than 14 days, but more than 48 hrs. before your scheduled check-in, you will be responsible for 50% of your total reservation. CHECK IN, CHECK OUT TIMES You may check in at any time between 2-5pm. Check out is at 12 noon. If your travel plans necessitate a later check in, please let us know in advance so we can arrange for self check-in. Late check outs may sometimes be available; please feel free to inquire. SPECIAL NEEDS We make every attempt to accommodate the special needs of our guests. Please note Terrain is a rural retreat and may be challenging for guests in wheelchairs. While it is not possible for us to accommodate every conceivable guest condition or specific requirement, we do try to address most dietary requirements, allergies and other reasonable requests. Guests with pet allergies should be aware that we do have a miniature poodle; poodles are hypoallergenic and do not shed. Dolce is never allowed in any of the guest suites. SMOKING & ALCOHOL We ask that all our guests be respectful and responsible. Please note smoking is only permitted on the private patio of each suite. Responsible consumption of alcohol is requested. PETS We are happy to welcome 1 small friendly K-9 (20lbs. or less) for a nominal additional fee of $25.00 in the east/WEST Gate House. Sorry, the Shoji Suite is not pet appropriate. The $25.00 fee provides your pal with treats and a sleep blanket. With the exception of the breakfast period, fido may not be left unattended in your suite or in your car. You are welcome to exercise your dog on the property, however please be aware that other guests may not be dog lovers. Pet owners are requested to control and clean up after their dog and are responsible for any special cleaning or damage incurred at Terrain.
